Zero-Knowledge Collaboration: Deploying CryptPad for Document Privacy
The Context: "The 3 AM Trigger"
Commercial document suites announced they would scan private user sheets to train writing assistants. We migrated our team's workspace to a self-hosted CryptPad server.
The Problem Statement
Provide document collaboration features (sheets, docs, presentations) with E2EE, preventing the server from reading document content.
Visual Architecture: The Flow
The Core Logic / Process
Deploying CryptPad with Zero-Knowledge
- Client-Side Cryptography: CryptPad encrypts document changes inside the user's browser before transmission.
- No Metadata Extraction: The server only acts as a communication bridge, unable to read document strings.
- Private Hosting: Running CryptPad via Docker behind a custom Nginx gateway.
The "Baigan" Take (Expert Insights)
Your project plans and financial projections belong to you, not a cloud provider. Baigan ki collaboration features hain wo (nonsense collaboration features) that inspect your sheets. Host CryptPad and collaborate securely.
